Ampelmann back in Australia

September 07, 2016

Press release

Ampelmann has just successfully completed the work scopes under the contract with Fugro TSM in Australia, to supply safe offshore access services in Australia’s Joseph Bonaparte gulf. The Ampelmann A-type system allowed for safe and efficient transfer of personal between an unmanned wellhead platform and Fugro TSM’s vessel, the Southern Ocean.  As a result of the Ampelmann A-Type system compensating for all vessel motions, the project was executed with zero 'waiting on weather' downtime, which in turn reduced the total project duration. With the project successfully completed the Ampelmann system has been stored in Darwin readily available to execute more work in Australia.

"We thank Fugro TSM for the trust they have shown in Ampelmann, and we look forward to building on our relationship delivering safe offshore access to the oil majors here in the Australian waters."

- Frederik Gerner, Director Ampelmann Asia-Pacific
